Malaysia is one of the most beautiful yet not visited countries in the world. We say it’s not visited, there are a lot of people who will have headed there for a travelling break, but compared to how beautiful it is, we really don’t think it gets the justice it deserves. It’s vibrance, it’s culture, it’s tranquility, it just is incredible. There are also many different parts that you could visit, it all depends on the type of experience you’re looking for. You could either be looking for a lovely beach holiday with a bit of exploration, or you could be going for something that’s far more geared up for exploring, and mainland is where you need to be heading. Don’t think that because it isn’t the most popular part of Asia to visit, that it won’t be totally busy. It has a high population, it is very popular with backpackers, and the climate is nearly always beautiful. So before you think about going after reading this article, just make sure you’re researching the best time to go weather wise, and tourist levels wise. But if you are going to consider it, this is what Malaysia has waiting for you.

The Big Capital

The capital of Malaysia is Kuala Lumpur, and boy does it pack a punch. It’s a popular stop off for people who are travelling to Australia and have to break up the flight. But for those of you who aren’t just passing through, Kuala Lumpur is going to have so much to offer. You could find a lovely studio for rent in KL, and easily give yourself a good base to go and explore this beautiful capital. One of the things we really want you to try is the food, because it is hands down some of the best in the world. What you will find is traditional Malaysian dishes, mixed in with some Thai cuisine and just a whole world of flavours that you might not have known existed before. Make sure you have a look on websites such as Tripadvisor to see what the top resturants are, and try out a range of different ones, from the high end to the low end. Definitely don’t be afraid of trying some of the independent smaller restaurants that might not look the best from the outside. They will be owned by Malaysian locals who are trying to make a living, and perhaps will be oversighted by the big chains you might find.

The Incredible Nature

Pretty much any country in Asia is full of some of the most amazing parts of nature that you could imagine. Everything just seems to fresh and interesting, and even though you might get to a crowded and more built up part and it might be overwhelming, it might not be long until you stumble across something beautiful. One to note in terms of Malaysia is the Batu caves. These can be found in Kuala Lumpur as well, and they’re the perfect mix of beautiful culture and beautiful scenery. Make sure you take your camera to this as it really will be worth taking some pictures. Going further afield a little, we think that taking a hike up Mount Kinabalu should definitely be on your hit list. It’s just so beautiful, refreshing, and you really do feel like you’re in awe at everything.

The Relaxing Vibes
If you want relaxing vibes, then you’re going to the right country. Yes, if you do go into the capital of Kuala Lumpur, you will find that it is so built up that you can’t possibly relax, but that’s not the only part of Kuala Lumpur that you would be able to visit. One thing we think you would love, is taking a trip to the Perhentian islands to see the wonders that has to offer. The sea is so blue, the sand is so white, and it truly is amazing to find yourself there. Again, some great picture opportunities would come up here. There’s easy access to boats that would take you there as well. Just spend some time to enjoy the islands, relax on the beach, and swim in the sea. You will often find that you feel much more relaxed there compared to on the mainland, just because you can finally stop exploring and just relax. On another note, just simply taking a boat trip out to sea is something you should do just to take in the beautiful coastline of the country!
