This year I decided make my Christmas theme “Disney”. Trying to look for inexpensive Disney decor had to have been the hardest!

I started to search for D.I.Y Disney decor and ornaments, there was so many great ideas. Personally I love doing crafts, so I decided to try to brain storm some of my own ideas.

With that being said, I decided to DIY a simple Mickey Ornament and Wreath.

You will need:

  • Scissors
  • Lighter
  • Marker
  • Mini Christmas ball ornament
  • Regular size Christmas ball ornament
Step 1:
Take the mini ornaments and remove the silver tops from them. Grab your regular size ornament and place the mini ornament in place to where you will be placing the ears. Than just race the circles.

Step 2:
Grab one side of the scissors and light it up to make it hot. Than your going to grab your regular size ornament and start creating the hole. This process is pretty easy as the plastic will basically melt.
Please be aware it will smell like burning plastic.

Step 3:

Next you take your mini ornament and start lighting the bottom of it. Once that is hot you just put it right into the hole your created on your regular size ornament. You may have to twist it in, but you will see how quickly it will fit right in.

Once you have both ears in, THAT’S IT!

  1. What a neat idea. I may have to try this when we get to Disney. We could put the year we went or the dates and have that as a cheaper momento of our trip there. Thank you for posting.

  2. Making one’s own Christmas decorations can be such cost effective. Plus the thrill of creating something new itself is motivation enough.
